AIGA Cleveland is getting down to brass tacks. Mystified by copyright law? Intimidated by financial planning? Unsure of your rights as an employee or your responsibilities as an employer? Join us for a series of presentations focused on the business fundamentals of design practice.
While the #MeToo movement has sparked increased national interest in the subject of sexual assault, many of the day-to-day challenges associated with workplace dynamics—including harassment—take place on an individual level. Understanding the law, consequently, can be a daunting yet important part of managing professional relationships.
In the first of a series of events focused on the business-side of design practice, AIGA will be hosting a discussion with Rachel Lutner and Mariah Butler Vogelgesang, Director and Associate Director, respectively, of Cleveland State University's Office for Institutional Equity. This presentation will be an opportunity to learn about rights and responsibilities associated with the legal side of harassment in the workplace and how to identify and respond to problematic situations. Attendees will also be invited to submit questions ahead of the event for our two legal experts.
