The future of cross-discipline design and how to break down the silos to become an undisciplined designer
Nolan Beck–Rivera is an undisciplined designer. Nolan believes that the future of design is across disciplines and specialities. With a background in graphic design, his interest in materiality and texture has lead him into a formal, traditional graphic design, printmaking, furniture design, jewelry design, and even a line of flooring and tiles that will be used in hotels across the world. He recently started the project, The Materialist, which seeks to explore high-end materiality and tactile design across the spectrum of design and art, which will culminate in a magazine launching later this Spring.
