May Community Discussion: Women Lead
Led by Jenika Gonzales & Shelby Muter
Women Lead is a core initiative of AIGA. Its goals are to celebrate the achievements of women in design, cultivate awareness of gender-related issues, and connect by facilitating relationships within and beyond the design industry. Join Jenika & Shelby, our new AIGA Cleveland Women Lead Co-Chairs, as they introduce this initiative and open up the discussion of women in design.
Jenika Gonzales is a Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator at Bar 25 LLC Restaurant Group (Market Garden Brewery, Nano Brew, Bier Markt & Bar Cento). She is responsible for of all of the restaurants’ brand identity, packaging, content creation, marketing campaigns, as well as maintaining their social media and websites. She enjoys Cleveland’s food scene and cooking Filipino food, as well as learning different types of cuisines to share with friends and family.
Shelby Muter is a Graphic Designer and Associate Art Director at Progressive Insurance’s in-house marketing agency, 96Octane. She received her MFA in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University in 2016 and continues to teach as an adjunct instructor. Shelby has also worked professionally at the American Greetings and Abercrombie & Fitch corporate headquarters. When she isn’t working or teaching she loves spending time outdoors and being with her friends and family.
