GUTS 2015: Event Recap

October 24th brought the first annual pumpkin carving competition, GUTS: Creatives Carving for Kids, to the Cleveland community. AIGA Cleveland partnered with the Make-A-Wish foundation, and brought together creatives of all types to carve up some unique creations. Carvers had 90 minutes to slice, dice and sculpt their masterpiece before the judging and silent auction began. Winners in three categories, Individual, Group, and Peoples Choice, were awarded trophies generously donated by Balance Inc. The event was held at ABC Uptown tavern and carved pumpkins were auctioned off to raise money for the foundation. The event was modestly attended, but donations were pouring in, and we are happy to announce that $562.00 were raised and donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation! Huge thank-yous go out to everyone who attended and we hope to see you again next year!
